Dynamic Hamstring Stretch Series
In this video, we offer an effective yet painless dynamic hamstring stretch series that targets the area from multiple angles with a straight leg. Smooth, gentle movements help to create some glide in the fascia and an increase in range of motion.
I suggest doing the spinewinder series to prepare your body for this focused stretch, you definitely want to do a warm up of some kind. It would be ideal to practice this stretch on a regular basis after you are done with any workouts or strenuous activity that day. Your stretch sensation should be gentle yet a little demanding, never painful. Please remember to breathe deeply and move slowly for maximal results.

In the video, I have a small towel under my head for support. Please feel free to do the same, or substitute with a regular or wedge pillow if your shoulder and neck aren’t comfortable. My resting leg, the one I am not stretching, is bent with my foot flat on the floor. This is to assist in keeping my pelvis neutral and minimize any strain on my lower back. You can place pillows or a bolster under that knee to increase your comfort & relaxation.
